When performed properly crack injection repairs are the highest quality solution for repairing cracks in poured concrete basement walls. Other repair methods are basically surface repairs that allow water to remain in the cracked basement wall.

The primary crack injection repair methods are the high pressure and low pressure repairs. There are a lot of products on the market and a lot of confusion.

While considered a low-pressure injection method, high expansion polyurethane hydrofoam is the best injection product. When the product expands, it creates sufficient pressure to fill the entire crack so water can no longer enter the basement wall. While rigid enough to prevent water intrusion, high expansion polyurethane hydrofoam is flexible enough to withstand the expansion and contraction of basement walls during the summer and winter.

The video below provides step-by-step instructions using Emecole low-pressure crack injection products for repairing cracks in poured basement walls and crawl spaces.
